Relay Exchange Zone #2 To Be Relocated
Due to the large increase in participation in the marathon and the relay , it has become necessary to relocate the second relay exchange zone.
Equinox Marathon To Offer Prize Money in 2012
For the first time in it's history, the Equinox Marathon will offer prize money to the first five finishers in both the men's and women's marathons. Prize money will not be awarded for the ultramarathon or the relay.
Pikes Waterfront Lodge is Official Host Hotel for Equinox Events
Pikes Waterfront Lodge is now the official Equinox Marathon Host Hotel for 2012. If you are coming from out of town to run the 2012 Equinox Marathon OR if you are local and just want a good night's sleep and a breakast before the Equinox, contact Pike's Waterfront Lodge.
Runners: Be Considerate of Private Property on Ester Dome
You may or may not know that when you reach the first summit on Ester Dome, "Ullrhavn Summit," the land on either side of the road is private property.
New Course Map Available
A new, comprehensive course map is available through this website.
We Have an Ultramarathon Course
A final route for the new, extended course for the Equinox Ultramarathon has been decided upon. At it's August 4 meeting, the Equinox Advisory Committee approved the final course laid out by Trail Chief Ben Nelson. The new course is 40 miles/64Km in length.
