A Huge "Thank You" to all in the huge field who participated today, as well as to all support crews and fans. Any of you who were out there today, don't forget to thank all the volunteers who made this event special. Here are a few:
The co-Directors of the Equinox Marathon would like to extend a big thank-you to all those entrants who stopped in at the Pump House Thursday night and picked up their bibs. By coming early you avoided an expected bigger crowd on Friday, and/or the race morning rush. And you helped keep the size of Friday night's crowd down a bit.
We very much appreciate that you helped us to make things run as smoothly as possible.
It is our objective to conduct the Equinox events at the highest possible level of quality. To do that takes money. We have to purchase and rent a lot of stuff to make this race happen.
If you have a support crew helping you out on Saturday, think long and hard about THEIR strategy. Keep in mind that our marathon field has increased by almost 50% from last year, and our relay field has increased by more than 10% from last year.
As mentioned earlier on this website, one of the ways we are commemorating the 50th running of the Equinox Marathon is with a print by Fairbanks artist Kesler Woodward.
In commemoration of the 50th running of the Equinox Marathon, the Equinox Marathon organization will be producing for sale a high-quality, signed and numbered print by noted local artist Kesler Woodward.
Want to buy a trail sign? For $250 you can have a sign on the Ultramarathon or Marathon course with your name on it.
