Here is your Award Banquet Information:
As the Equinox Marathon and Relay finish line closes, the doors for the Equinox Awards Banquet open in the adjacent UAF Student Rec Center at 6:00PM.
This is a chance for all Equinox participants to gather and tell tales about the accomplishments of the day (most true, some not) and to celebrate the Equinox community spirit. There will be food and drink, awards, a presentation from the Founder of Running Club North Paul Vanture, and Matias Sarri will be there signing his book
For Equinox participants, your ticket, covering you and one guest, is on your bib. You can buy additional tickets at the door for $15.00. (Relay Team’s only need (1) ticket for all 3 members).
Pizza, Salad, and Dessert
Beer Service – *Proof of 21 or older required*
Seating is limited
If you have any questions, please contact Stacy.
Calling all participants of the 55th Annual Equinox Marathon!
Pick-up you bib and race goodies either Thursday, Sept. 14 and Friday, Sept. 15 from 5-8pm at ***NEW LOCATION*** Upper Deck Level of Patty Ice Arena on the UAF Campus, in between the SRC and the Patty Center.
Not registered yet? It’s not too late! You can register at bib pick-up times, no problem! We’ll be there to help you. Online registration will close at 5pm on Sept 12.
Due to registration being up this year, we are slim on t-shirts. If you are signing up and it says sold out, we are ordering more! If you do not receive one at bib pick-up, we will give you a voucher to redeem a shirt when they arrive. If you have any questions, you can contact Stacy via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Geese, Ducks, and Cranes practice flying in formation over fields of long grass. The Night Sky is Dark. Yellow leaves flutter to the ground and streets. What does this mean?
That the Equinox Marathon is 9/16/17! And that means that volunteers are needed on Thursday and Friday, September 14 and 15, from 4:45 to 8:00 PM for bib pickup.
If you can help, please contact Susan at email@example.com or (907) 590-5086.
We have a new map available online documenting the 100 or so permanent mile markers and directional signs along the Equinox course. Each sign has a couple accompanying pictures that provide views of the various terrain you will encounter during the run. They also let you read the signs at your leisure to see who sponsored them without worrying about the roots and rocks at your feet. So whether you use it as a virtual course tour or to reminisce on past glories, take a look at the map here or from the Race Info, Course menu.
If you’re planning to sign up for the 2017 Equinox Marathon or Relay, do it soon! Early registration closes at 5 PM on Wednesday, August 16. Save $10 for the marathon and $25 for a relay team by signing up before early registration closes!
See the Entering page (also available from the main menu above) for all the details!
The official host hotel of the 2017 Equinox Marathon and Relay is again the Best Western Plus Chena River Lodge on Airport Way, just across from Fred Meyer West. They have 10 rooms blocked for September 15 to 18.
